(Hong Kong, 5 January 2015) - Pico announced that it has won two contracts for the upcoming Baku 2015 European Games (“the European Games”), which will be held from 12–28 June 2015 in Azerbaijan’s capital city Baku, situated on the shores of the Caspian Sea.
At this inaugural European Games, over 6,000 athletes from 49 Olympic nations in Europe are expected to compete in 20 sports in 18 new or refurbished world-class venues. Pico is proud to be an integral part of these exciting new games by providing design and construction for overlay work at both the Cycling and Triathlon venues.
Over the last decade, Pico has provided temporary venue overlay solutions for many of the world’s biggest sporting occasions, beginning with the 2004 Athens Olympics, followed by a number of Olympic Summer and Winter games, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Formula One Grand Prix, Golf Opens and many other high-profile events around the world.
