(Hong Kong, 17 October 2010) – Pico Far East Holdings Limited (“PICO” or the “Group”, SEHK: 0752), a global Total Brand Activation company, today announces that its wholly owned subsidiary Pico International (HK) Limited has been awarded the qualification to conduct the Mandatory Basic Safety Training Course and Mandatory Basic Safety Training Revalidation Course, and to issue certificates commonly known as Green Cards to attendees of the courses, under Chapter 59 of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance, by the Commissioner for Labour, Hong Kong S.A.R. Government with effect from 8 October 2010.
Pico is by far the first and only exhibition industry practitioner in Hong Kong awarded the qualification for conducting such mandatory training courses and given the authority to issue the Green Card certificate.
The Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance provides for the safety and health protection to workers in the industrial sector. It applies to various areas of industrial undertakings that are connected with factories, construction sites, catering establishments, cargo and container handling undertakings, repair workshops and other industrial workplaces.
