Pico Far East Holdings Limited (‘Pico Group’) (Stock code: 752.HK) today announced that its subsidiary, Global International Convention and Exhibition (Tianjin) Company Limited (‘GICE’) has entered a strategic alliance with Tianjin Binhai New Area Cultural Center Investment Management Co., Ltd. for the development of the Binhai Cultural Center at Tianjin’s Binhai New Area.
The alliance will cover three spectrums:
1. Leveraging excellent IP resources: Backed by Pico Group’s rich intellectual property (IP) resources, the alliance will activate high-quality cultural tourism projects to raise the profile of the Binhai Cultural Center.
2. Creative event management services: The alliance will manage creatively themed events and brand promotion projects.
3. Venue and project operations services: For projects under the alliance, GICE’s professional operations teams will offer clients high-quality venue services and value-added features. The Binhai Cultural Center will provide venue, publicity and other infrastructure support.
GICE will work with Tianjin Binhai New Area Cultural Center Investment Management Co., Ltd. to create smart venues and improve their exhibition and convention management capabilities. The alliance will also explore providing operational services for tech-enabled venues, the performing arts industry, and for exhibition and convention industry development. An ultimate aim is to create a high-quality, high added-value, high-traffic ecosystem for the cultural, tourism and business sectors.
Established in May 2020, GICE aims to catch onto the growth momentum of the exhibition and convention sector in Tianjin. In their strategic alliance, GICE will combine the Pico Group’s more than five decades of experience, extensive global network and ample resources with the Binhai Cultural Center’s regional competitive edge to drive the exhibition and convention industry in the Binhai New Area.
