Pico Far East Holdings Limited (Stock code: 752.HK) today announced that the Group has been appointed to design and build the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) community treatment facility in Hong Kong.
The first phase of the project included the delivery of about 500 cubicles at Hall 1 (about 4,500 square metre) at AsiaWorld-Expo. The setup was completed in late July and the facility commenced operation on 1 August.
Apart from providing design and construction services for the cubicles, Pico also provided electrical fitting and appliances as well as rental services for furniture and certain specified medical equipment.
The Pico team is also working on the delivery of the second phase of the project.
Outside Hong Kong, Pico was also involved in similar projects for infection prevention and control in Singapore earlier, including the delivery of 960 cubicles to a 10,000 square-metre Community Care Facilities at the Singapore EXPO Convention and Exhibition Centre and MAX Atria; joining in the transformation of Changi Exhibition Centre by providing nearly 5,000 bunks and beds for recovering COVID-19 patients and for community care purpose.
