(Hong Kong, 2 March 2015) - Pico has won three more contracts for the Argentina, Brunei and Cambodia Pavilions at Expo Milano 2015, which will be held in Milan, Italy from 1 May to 31 October 2015.
Including the Malaysia Pavilion, we will now be handling four pavilions at Expo Milano 2015, further strengthening our position as a global leader in activating World Expositions. Expo Milano 2015 will be Pico’s ninth World Expo over the past 30 years. The Argentina, Brunei, Cambodia and Malaysia Pavilions are part of Pico’s continuously-expanding World Expo portfolio, which has now reached a milestone of nearly 80 pavilions.
The ambitions of Expo 2015 are to explore the themes of food, energy, planet and life on a “journey to the roots of the boundaries of the future”, and all three pavilions will explore this theme in different ways. For the Argentina Pavilion, Pico, in partnership with a local Italian contracting firm, has been commissioned to construct the building of the pavilion, themed “Argentina Feeds You”, based on the client’s design. The pavilion will offer visitors experiences that feed their understanding of Argentina’s richness and diversity through four subtopics.
The Brunei Pavilion will see us designing and fabricating an interior display under the theme of “Science and technology for food safety, security and quality”, which will highlight the tremendous progress made by the country’s agricultural sector in increasing domestic food consumption.
For the Cambodia Pavilion, Pico will design, construct and maintain the pavilion, which will emphasise the importance of the country’s rice production and cultural heritage. The 250 sq. m. pavilion will deepen visitors’ understanding of the technologies used in agricultural crop management, irrigation systems, the food supply chain and other aspects which combine culture with nature.
Pico is dedicated to contributing our unique expertise to help develop and realise our clients’ successful participation at this significant global event through creative development, flawless implementation and meticulous operation.
