Two pavilions at Expo 2017 Astana recently received honours at the Expo 2017 Official Participant Awards: the Singapore Pavilion was given a Silver award for Theme Development for pavilions under 400 sq. m. for its theme – ‘Small City, Big Ideas’. The France Pavilion received a Bronze award for Theme Development for pavilions larger than 700 sq. m. for its theme – ‘Energy Transition for Green Growth’.
The awards recognised the pavilions’ innovative development of the Expo theme – ‘Future Energy’. Pico is delighted to have provided services for these pavilions which brought this theme to life.
The Expo 2017 Official Participant Awards, put on by the Bureau International des Expositions, celebrate all those who have made major contributions to the success of the expo – inspiring the participants to continue implementing future energy projects and promoting the message globally.
The awards are split into four categories according to the size of the country or organization’s pavilion and judged in two criteria for each category: Exhibitory Design and Revelation of the Exhibition Theme. An international jury composed of nine experts in exhibitions and architecture visited each of the 115 country and 22 international organization pavilions participating in Expo 2017 Astana, giving out a total of 24 Gold, Silver and Bronze awards.
These pavilions are now part of Pico’s continuously-expanding and award-winning world expo and specialised expo portfolio, which has reached almost 90 pavilions in size.
